The Shire of Chapman Valley has received an application seeking to site a second hand residence upon the 2.5289ha property of 41 (Lot 14) Coffee Pot Drive, Waggrakine. The Shire of Chapman Valley Local Planning Scheme lists second hand dwellings as a land use that must be advertised for comment prior to determination in the ‘Rural Residential’ zone.

Notice was given to all landowners in areas requiring compulsory firebreaks that these must be installed by 15 October 2024 and maintained free of flammable material as required under the Bush Fire Act 1954.

The Shire of Chapman Valley advises that at the 19 July 2024 Council meeting, it was resolved to initiate the preparation of a new Local Planning Scheme (Local Planning Scheme No.4).
