The Shire of Chapman Valley proudly congratulates former President Kirrilee Warr on her historic victory in the 2025 Western Australian State Election, securing the seat of Geraldton for the Nationals WA.

Kirrilee, and long-serving Councillor recent Shire President, has been a tireless advocate for regional communities during her 12 years of leadership in Chapman Valley. Her commitment to addressing local issues and fostering growth in rural areas has earned her widespread respect and admiration.  Her election marks a significant milestone, as she becomes the first Nationals representative to hold the seat of Geraldton in since 1947—a testament to her strong connection with the community and her ability to champion the concerns of both urban and rural constituents.

The Shire Council acknowledges Mrs Warr’s exceptional contributions to Chapman Valley during her tenure as Councillor & President, where she worked diligently to enhance infrastructure, support local industries, and promote sustainable development. Her leadership, in particular during the recovery process post Cyclone Seroja in 2021 has left an enduring legacy that will benefit the region for years to come.

On behalf of the residents of Chapman Valley, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kirrilee Warr on this remarkable achievement. We are confident that her experience, dedication, and passion for regional advocacy will make her an outstanding representative for Geraldton in the Legislative Assembly.
