Local Government Elections – Nominate for Council!

Join the Shire of Chapman Valley and be involved in the decision-making process on all the exciting things happening in our beautiful Shire!

The local government elections are happening on 21 October, but nominations open 31 August so why not throw your hat in the ring?

Being a Council member is an amazing opportunity to represent your community, especially those who might not be able to speak for themselves, on important issues such as rates, local law policies and developments – just to name a few.

As a Council member you can provide leadership and guidance to your community, facilitate communication between them and the Council, determine policy, manage assets and finances and plan for Chapman Valley’s future.

There will be four positions up for election in Chapman Valley this year, following changes to the Local Government Act.
