WESTERN POWER PLANNED WORKS
Western Power have recently advised that they have a large program of work planned in the Shire of Chapman Valley, in June and July 2022 to maintain Western Powers infrastructure and ensure power reliability.
During this time 21 poles, 3 transformers will be replaced, as well as 82 other minor maintenance activities. The work will be undertaken by Western Power crews and there are several power outages scheduled. From June works will be concentrated in Marrah, South Yuna, Naraling, White Peak and Yetna.
To complete the work safely, the work needs to be carried out on de-energised lines. This means that power outages will be required and given the volume of work, unfortunately some customers will be impacted by multiple outages. All affected customers will be notified (letters and emails) of upcoming outages and Western Power will also post information on social media.
To ensure that Chapman Valley residents and businesses are kept informed the Shire will be posting these updates on the shire’s website and social media channels.
