The Shire of Chapman Valley is located northeast of Geraldton in the Mid West of Western Australia and covers an area of approximately 4000 square kilometres. It is bound by the Indian Ocean the Shire of Northampton and City of Greater Geraldton.

DISCONTINUED VEHICLE EXAMINATION SERVICE
The Department of Transport (DoT) has advised Council of the minimum qualification for staff to provide vehicle inspection services as an Authorised Vehicle Examiner (AVE) on their behalf. As Shire staff do not have all the minimum qualifications as stipulated by DoT to perform the task as an AVE on their behalf Council has resolved to discontinue this service, effective from the 30 June 2017. COMMUNITY STRATEGIC PLAN WORKSHOP
The Shire of Chapman Valley is developing its 2017-2027 Community Strategic Plan. To ensure the Plan represents our community needs and aspirations it is important as many people as possible participate in this important process.
The Shire’s consultants, RiskID, will be facilitating the meetings and invite all members of the community to come along have their say. The meetings will be held at the following venues:
- 12th June 2017 – Batten Hall, Drummond Cove from 5.30pm to 7.30pm
- 13th June 2017 – Yuna Community Centre, Yuna from 5.30pm to 7.30pm
- 14th June 2017 – Nabawa Hall from 5.30pm to 7.30pm
